Finally, some new photos!!!!

Ok, as promised I have come back to post some photos. I have a HEAP more to show you but will start with the ones I already have on my computer!

BUT, before I do that just a gentle reminder that the current Spring Mini ends on 30 November. SO if there was something you were umming and ahhing about getting, decide quick!! There is no guarantee that any of the product in the current mini catalogue will end up in the main catty next year so don't take the chance!!

On a bright note, the Summer Mini starts on 1 December and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! You will definately not want to miss this one. I am having a Summer Mini launch at my house on Sunday 6th December from 10am. There will be lots of yummy stuff from the catalogue to see and a make and take for you to try it out!

If you can't make it to the launch (or can't wait to get your hands on a catalogue!) just contact me and I will send you out a copy.

Ok, back to the pics!! I will start with my Christmas cards to give you some inspiration to complete your own cards :)

This first one was my swap for the Perth Regionals this year. I made 50 of this card in 24 hours, so it can be done in bulk (although I would recommend stretching it out over a longer period of time!!)

Stamp Set: Snow Swirled, Best Yet (Hostess Set)
Cardstock: Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, Silver Brushed Metallic
Ink & Accessories: Silver Encore, Not Quite Navy, Versamark, Silver Embossing Powder, Sponge Daubers, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Dimensionals

These next two cards were from my Christmas Stamp-A-Stack so may look familiar to those that attended :)

Stamp Set: Season of Joy
Cardstock: Ridinghood Red, Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White
Ink & Accessories: Versamark, Chocolate Chip Stampin Write Marker, Old Olive Stampin Write Marker, Real Red Stampin Write Marker, Mat Pack, Paper Piercer, White Gel Pen, Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon

This one uses the Rock and Roll technique which I am a big fan of right now! Adds a bit of interest to solid stamps.

Stamp Set: Season of Joy

Inks & Accessories: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Crimper, 2 Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Mat Pack, Paper Piercer, Sponges.

Stamp Set: Snow Swirled
Cardstock: Ridinghood Red, Whisper White, Kraft, Ski Slope DSP
Inks & Accessories: Ridinghood Red, Encore Gold, Scallop Edge Punch, Wide Oval Punch Stamp-a-Majig, Very Vanilla 5/8" ribbon

Can you tell I like this stamp set??!! The background on this one is done using sponging and a mask. I quite like it :)

Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Lovely Lilac, Brushed Silver Metallic, Whisper White
Inks & Accessories: Silver Encore, Bashful Blue, Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac, Silver Embossing Powder, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Crimper

I am a big fan of trying to use non-Christmas stamps for Christmas cards, these next few are my attempts!

This next one is a CASE from a Regionals swap. I didn't receive one so I don't have the details of who did it. If you knwo who it was, please let me know so I can pay credit where credit is DEFINATELY due!!

This card uses masking to create the baubles. Really easy to do but so effective!

Inks & Accessories: Bashful Blue, Pacific Point, 2 Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Bashful Blue Stampin Write Marker, Sponge Daubers, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1" circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch

This was the card I made for Fathers Day this year

Stamp Set: Occassional Greetings
Cardstock: Kraft, Not Quite Navy, Urban Garden DSP
Inks & Accessories: Not Quite Navy, Large Star Punch, Small Star Punch,

Inks & Accessories: Gold Encore, Elegant Egglant Stampin Write Marker, Perfect Plum Stampin Write Marker, Elegant Eggplant 1/4" grosgrain ribbon

This is a great card using the Obe of a Kind stamp set and coordinating punch Boho Blossoms. This punch is one of the freebies in the Christmas promotion (check it out on the right hand side of the page)

First Stamp A Stack and more to share

Ok, I know I promised these pictures ages ago but life has been a bit nuts lately. My 2 year old daughter split her forehead last week and has reopened the wound twice more since involving numerous trips to Emergency and the GP!!

So here are the pics of the cards we did/are doing for this month's Stamp A Stack (SAS)

These cards are using the new In Colours Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss, Haiku Designer Series Paper and the Garden Whimsey Stamp set along with the Best Yet (level 1 hostess set) stamp set.

So after doing my first SAS, I will be making a few changes for the next one. I won't be doing as many cards as 4 designs was just a bit too much. Took too long and the novelty wore off after the third I think!! So next time will most likely be 6 cards (3 designs x 2) for $12.

I have made another couple of cards too that I thought I would share. I mentioned in a previous post that I earned 12 free stamp sets and $200 in free product just by doing what I love, being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. Well, I got my goodies this week but didn't have a chance to use them until today. I had a few fellow demonstrators over to play with our toys :D

This is what I came up with.....

Ok so the main stamp set used here is Fifth Avenue Florals, then the sentiment uses On Your Birthday and Frames with a Flourish. The cardstock I used on this card was Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White. Inks were Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss & Baja Breeze. I used the eyelet border punch (a new toy!) and the ribbon is Very Vanilla 1/4" grosgrain.

Fifth Avenue Florals has got to be one of the most gorgeous sets in the new catalogue. It is so versatile. I will have another couple of cards done with this set shortly done using a special watercolour technique that is all the rage at the moment, so stay tuned!!

This next card is for a christening I am going to tomorrow but could be adapted to fit most occasions I think.

The stamps are from Always and On Your Birthday. Cardstock & Ink colours are Lovely Lilac and Pale Plum. Ribbon is lovely lilac which is unfortunately retired. The hearts have been stamped in lovey lilac ink and then stamped again with Versamark (using the Stamp A Majig) and then I used Heat & Stick Powder and Dazzling Diamonds to bling it up a bit. I have also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder in the background.

Ok, that's it for me for now. I have a week off work so hoping to have LOTS to show you next week :)

Happy Stamping!

New stuff to share.....

Sorry I haven't been in to share anything lately but I have had a HUGE Stampin' Up! month. This month I have earned 12 free stamp sets and $200 worth of free product!! You can do this too, so if you would like more information or would like to join my team send me an email :)

Ok, so I am finally getting back in to the scrapbooking frame of mind and I have some pages to share with you.

This was my first attempt at scrapbooking using stamps only. I am not a minimalist scrapper so it was hard!!

So for this page I have used the Garden Whimsey set and used Heat and Stick Powder and Dazzling Diamonds over coloured ink (Taken with Teal, Lovely Lilac and Pretty in Pink) to get the glittery butterflies. I have also used the glitter for the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet with Pretty in Pink Ink. The base cardstock was Pretty in Pink textured Cardstock, the patterned paper was Non-SU.

This next page I had aimed to use a piece of my Styled Silver Hodgepodge which I have been admiring for 6 months and not used!! Mind you it is much easier to use them with the right punches!

The base card is from the new In Colour range, Pacific Point. The patterned papers are from the Good Morning Sunshine set. I have then used the Heat and Stick powder with the Dazzling Diamonds and the Schoolbook Serif alphabet and the Pacific Point ink.

This next layout is a personal achievement for me. I scrapped the photos on the same day I took them!!!!!!!! Never before, and probably never again!!
This page was scraplifted from Sarah Klass

I am in love with my spiral punch which is how I did the filmstrip. I just layered the photos on white card then on a strip of black card then used the spiral punch all the way down the side. Then I layered it on white card again to lift it off the page. I am quite pleased with how this turned out too.

The base card is textured cardstock in Kiwi Kiss and the patterned papers are from the Good Morning Sunshine set. I have also used the Sans Serif alphabet in Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point and Baja Breeze Inks, the ribbon is the Pacific Point 5/8" Striped Grosgrain and I have used the Frames with a Flourish stamp set to do the journalling box and the flourish in the corner (with Whisper White craft ink).

The next two are 6x6 layouts I did for a few workshops I had this month. They both use the same sketch which I scraplifted from a US demo named Michelle. I can't seem to find her blog right now but I will update this post with the details when I do :)

The first one is using the Baja Breeze textured cardstock and the Pacific Point cardstock for matting the photo and the Good Morning Sushine DSP (using this one to death aren't I?!!)The stamp sets I used are two of my favourites at the moment. The Life Definitions set is DIVINE. Great for cards and scrapping. The Frames with a Flourish set is the same, great for scrapping and cardmaking. I have also used the 1-3/8" circle punch and the scallop circle punch and the ribbon is white taffeta. I have also used the Designer Label punch to make the date tab.

This page is using the same sketch as above with different papers. The base cardstock is Kiwi Kiss textured cardstock and the mattign cardstock is Regal Rose. The papers are from the delectable Raspberry Tart range and could well be my favourite of this year's papers! Again I have used the Life Definaitions & Frames with a Floursih Stamp Sets and the 1-3/8" circle punch with the scallop circle punch. The ribbon is again white taffeta.

This card is using the Garden Whimsey Set with the Rock & Roll Technique. I have stamped the image up in Baja Breeze ink and then rolled the edges of the stamp around on the Pacific Point inkpad. I have then used the 2-way glue pen and the Dazzling Diamonds to 'bling it up' a little. I have used the crimper on Pacific Point cardstock and layered it on silver cardstock edged with the scallop border punch. The ribbon is 1/4" white grosgrain with a ribbon slide from the Hodgepodge Kit. The sentiment is from the Garden Whimsey set also and I have layered it on punches from the 1/4" round punch and designer tab punch in silver cardstock and Pacific Point.

Now for a couple of Mother's Day Cards. Lets hope my mum and mum-in-law don't suddenly learn how to blogsurf, lol!!

This first one I used the Heartfelt Thanks 2-step stamping set. The colour scheme was Brocade Blue, Night of Navy and the patterned paper is from the Level 1 Hostess set of 6x6 Patterns in Brocade Blue. The journalling box (from Frames with a Flourish of course!) is stamped in Whisper White Craft ink on Night of Navy and the sticker are non SU (Carolee, I think). The ribbon is 1/4" grosgrain in Night of Navy and I have used the scallop edge punch along the edge of the flower.

The second one is inspired by the colour scheme from the Flower Power Simply Sent Card Elements - Rose Red, Old Olive & Perfect Plum
The most exciting part about this card is that I got to use my Build a Brad set!!! This is a nifty little set that lets you make your own 1/2" brads with a stamped image or patterened papers so that everthing matches!!
I have used the crimper on Rose Red cardstock with the 5/8" grosgrain ribbon in Very Vanilla layered and the brad in the middle. I have used a non-SU alphabet set (couldn't wait for my Simple Serif Mini Alphabet - very similar to this - to arrive!!) using Whisper White craft ink on Old Olive cardstock. I have also added a scallop trim in Old Olive on the bottom of the crimped cardstock.

I am loving the look of the Whisper White ink on dark coloured cardstock at the moment, can you tell!!

Ok, I think that should keep me covered for a while! Hopefully I will be soon with the cards we will be making for my first Stamp-A-Stack next month!

Remember if you would like to come to the SAS, it is on 27 May at 7pm. For $15 you will make 8 cards, 2 eachof 4 different designs. Places are limited so contact me to reserve your spot now!

Happy Stamping Everyone!
