New stuff to share.....

Sorry I haven't been in to share anything lately but I have had a HUGE Stampin' Up! month. This month I have earned 12 free stamp sets and $200 worth of free product!! You can do this too, so if you would like more information or would like to join my team send me an email :)

Ok, so I am finally getting back in to the scrapbooking frame of mind and I have some pages to share with you.

This was my first attempt at scrapbooking using stamps only. I am not a minimalist scrapper so it was hard!!

So for this page I have used the Garden Whimsey set and used Heat and Stick Powder and Dazzling Diamonds over coloured ink (Taken with Teal, Lovely Lilac and Pretty in Pink) to get the glittery butterflies. I have also used the glitter for the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet with Pretty in Pink Ink. The base cardstock was Pretty in Pink textured Cardstock, the patterned paper was Non-SU.

This next page I had aimed to use a piece of my Styled Silver Hodgepodge which I have been admiring for 6 months and not used!! Mind you it is much easier to use them with the right punches!

The base card is from the new In Colour range, Pacific Point. The patterned papers are from the Good Morning Sunshine set. I have then used the Heat and Stick powder with the Dazzling Diamonds and the Schoolbook Serif alphabet and the Pacific Point ink.

This next layout is a personal achievement for me. I scrapped the photos on the same day I took them!!!!!!!! Never before, and probably never again!!
This page was scraplifted from Sarah Klass

I am in love with my spiral punch which is how I did the filmstrip. I just layered the photos on white card then on a strip of black card then used the spiral punch all the way down the side. Then I layered it on white card again to lift it off the page. I am quite pleased with how this turned out too.

The base card is textured cardstock in Kiwi Kiss and the patterned papers are from the Good Morning Sunshine set. I have also used the Sans Serif alphabet in Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point and Baja Breeze Inks, the ribbon is the Pacific Point 5/8" Striped Grosgrain and I have used the Frames with a Flourish stamp set to do the journalling box and the flourish in the corner (with Whisper White craft ink).

The next two are 6x6 layouts I did for a few workshops I had this month. They both use the same sketch which I scraplifted from a US demo named Michelle. I can't seem to find her blog right now but I will update this post with the details when I do :)

The first one is using the Baja Breeze textured cardstock and the Pacific Point cardstock for matting the photo and the Good Morning Sushine DSP (using this one to death aren't I?!!)The stamp sets I used are two of my favourites at the moment. The Life Definitions set is DIVINE. Great for cards and scrapping. The Frames with a Flourish set is the same, great for scrapping and cardmaking. I have also used the 1-3/8" circle punch and the scallop circle punch and the ribbon is white taffeta. I have also used the Designer Label punch to make the date tab.

This page is using the same sketch as above with different papers. The base cardstock is Kiwi Kiss textured cardstock and the mattign cardstock is Regal Rose. The papers are from the delectable Raspberry Tart range and could well be my favourite of this year's papers! Again I have used the Life Definaitions & Frames with a Floursih Stamp Sets and the 1-3/8" circle punch with the scallop circle punch. The ribbon is again white taffeta.

This card is using the Garden Whimsey Set with the Rock & Roll Technique. I have stamped the image up in Baja Breeze ink and then rolled the edges of the stamp around on the Pacific Point inkpad. I have then used the 2-way glue pen and the Dazzling Diamonds to 'bling it up' a little. I have used the crimper on Pacific Point cardstock and layered it on silver cardstock edged with the scallop border punch. The ribbon is 1/4" white grosgrain with a ribbon slide from the Hodgepodge Kit. The sentiment is from the Garden Whimsey set also and I have layered it on punches from the 1/4" round punch and designer tab punch in silver cardstock and Pacific Point.

Now for a couple of Mother's Day Cards. Lets hope my mum and mum-in-law don't suddenly learn how to blogsurf, lol!!

This first one I used the Heartfelt Thanks 2-step stamping set. The colour scheme was Brocade Blue, Night of Navy and the patterned paper is from the Level 1 Hostess set of 6x6 Patterns in Brocade Blue. The journalling box (from Frames with a Flourish of course!) is stamped in Whisper White Craft ink on Night of Navy and the sticker are non SU (Carolee, I think). The ribbon is 1/4" grosgrain in Night of Navy and I have used the scallop edge punch along the edge of the flower.

The second one is inspired by the colour scheme from the Flower Power Simply Sent Card Elements - Rose Red, Old Olive & Perfect Plum
The most exciting part about this card is that I got to use my Build a Brad set!!! This is a nifty little set that lets you make your own 1/2" brads with a stamped image or patterened papers so that everthing matches!!
I have used the crimper on Rose Red cardstock with the 5/8" grosgrain ribbon in Very Vanilla layered and the brad in the middle. I have used a non-SU alphabet set (couldn't wait for my Simple Serif Mini Alphabet - very similar to this - to arrive!!) using Whisper White craft ink on Old Olive cardstock. I have also added a scallop trim in Old Olive on the bottom of the crimped cardstock.

I am loving the look of the Whisper White ink on dark coloured cardstock at the moment, can you tell!!

Ok, I think that should keep me covered for a while! Hopefully I will be soon with the cards we will be making for my first Stamp-A-Stack next month!

Remember if you would like to come to the SAS, it is on 27 May at 7pm. For $15 you will make 8 cards, 2 eachof 4 different designs. Places are limited so contact me to reserve your spot now!

Happy Stamping Everyone!
